Why I Paint

Ever since I can remember, I have had a reverence for nature. A walk in the woods can stir my soul - the sound of the birds, the breeze on my skin, the transformative power of sunlight, and skies that stop me. When I am painting, time slows. Taking time to really “see,” I discover deeper layers of beauty, and am filled with gratitude. I want to capture these moments that touch my soul to remember always. The more I paint, the more I see, and so it just keeps getting better! My hope is that other people who are also moved this way will find a kindred spirit through my work.
